The Lutheran Women in Mission is an official auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Since 1942, the LWM has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Lutheran Women in Mission is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.

All women of Immanuel Lutheran Church are members of the LWM

Mite Boxes
Based on the Biblical account of the widow's mite (Luke 21:1–4), the Mite Box is intended for regular contributions of "mites" — offerings above and beyond the support given to congregations and the LCMS. Mite Box contributions amount to millions of dollars that fund district and national mission grants and implement the LWM program. Mite Boxes can be found in the sanctuary pews on the first Sunday of each month. If you would like to have a Mite Box to take home, just take one from the large Mite Box in the rear of the Sanctuary.

Immanuel Lutheran Church 2026 Projects/Calendar

First Sunday of each month
Muffin for Mites during Sunday School and Mite Boxes in the sanctuary pews.

Third Sunday of each month
The Lutheran Women in Mission meet monthly in the Multi-Purpose Room at Immanuel.

Ongoing service project
Provide healthy snacks to Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy’s PE classes.
